Helping a parent or loved one

Not sure where to start? Start here.

If you are looking for equipment for an ageing parent and you do not know the first thing about it, that is completely normal. You do not need to know the products or the funding. Tell us what has changed, and we will gently guide you from there.
It is a lot to take on, often on top of work, family and your own life. Many of the families we help arrive feeling exactly the same way, worried and unsure, and leave with a clear plan and a weight lifted.
There is no pressure here, and no rush. Just honest guidance to help your parent stay safe, comfortable and independent at home.

Where to start, by what has changed

You do not need the right words. Find what sounds closest to what you are noticing, and we will take it from there.

Getting out of their chair is a struggle

"They rock back and forth, or need a hand to stand up."
A lift recliner gently raises them to their feet and supports comfortable sitting through the day.

Lift recliners

They are unsteady, or have had a fall

"I worry about them walking around, especially at night."
A walking frame or rollator gives them something steady to lean on, and small home aids reduce the risk of a fall. If they tire easily or are unsteady over short distances indoors, a compact power wheelchair can keep them moving safely around the home.

Getting in and out of bed is hard

"Mornings are a battle, and they are not sleeping well."
An adjustable bed raises and lowers to make getting up easier and safer, and supports more comfortable rest.

SUPPORT AT HOME

The bathroom feels unsafe

"I am scared they will slip getting to the toilet or shower."
Rails, shower seating and over-toilet aids make the bathroom far safer, often with simple, low-cost changes.

Bathroom and daily living aids

They want to keep getting out and about

"They miss the shops, and their independence."
A stable four wheel mobility scooter keeps them connected to their community, safely and comfortably.

It is a few things, and I am not sure

"Honestly, I do not know where to begin."
That is the most common thing we hear. Come in or call, tell us what you are seeing, and we will help you work it out.

We will guide you

We handle the hard parts

Funding, sorted

NDIS, Support at Home, aged care or private. We help you understand what your parent is eligible for and prepare the paperwork.

Try before you buy

Free trials in our showroom or in your parent’s home, so you are confident it is right before anyone spends a cent.

We deliver and set up

Our team delivers, assembles and demonstrates everything, and removes old equipment on request. A clean handover.

Guided by experts

Our advice is honest and often recommended by occupational therapists. We will tell you when a simpler option is the better fit.
The easiest first step

Come and see us, with your parent or on your own

Our Cheltenham showroom is calm and homely, more like a comfortable living room than a clinical store. Pop in on your own first if you would rather get your head around it, or bring your parent to try things in person.
